M83 Add More U.S. Dates to 2016 North American Tour

M83 have reportedly finished their highly anticipated follow-up to 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, and while we still haven’t gotten word as to when it will arrive, Anthony Gonzalez and company have promised a North American trek this spring. Now, they’ve added even more U.S. stops to that tour.

The original tour schedule kicks off on April 6 in New Orleans and runs through a show on June 6 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Now, the band has added a string of new gigs in the month of June. They’ll make stops in Cincinnati; Cleveland; Raleigh, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; Charlotte, N.C.; Norfolk, Va.; and Columbia, Md. For the show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, M83 will share the stage with Tame Impala. They have also added appearances at this year’s Bonnaroo, Firefly, WayHome and MoPop music festivals. See the updated itinerary at the bottom of the page.

The upcoming tour will feature an entirely revamped M83 lineup. Longtime singer-keyboaridst Morgan Kibby has parted ways with the band and does not appear on the upcoming album. The band launched open auditions to replace Kibby.
