Michael C. Hall Does a Great Bowie Impression While Performing ‘Lazarus’ on ‘Colbert’

Shortly after the debut of “Lazarus,” the second cut to emerge from David Bowie’s new album ★, Michael C. Hall, the lead of the Thin White Duke’s Off-Broadway play of the same name, performed the track on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Bowie wasn't present for the performance, but the Dexter actor does a pretty close reading of the English icon’s signature vocal styling. In fact, a teaser for the TV appearance leads us to believe embodying Hall is actually Bowie’s latest artistic undertaking.

“Hello, it’s me David Bowie, Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, and now, in my most outlandish persona yet, acclaimed actor Michael C. Hall,” Hall says in the clip. “Don’t recognize me? Well, I’ve had a plastic surgeon make some ch-ch-changes.”
