Upcoming Alternative + Rock Releases – May 2016
We're looking forward to a lot more than just the weather in May. The record release schedule is already brimming with long-awaited comebacks and otherwise intriguing albums.
Folktronica singer-songwriter Beth Orton will release her first album since 2012, recently reignited post-hardcore outfit Thrice will unveil their first new album since 2011 and noisegrind supergroup Head Wound City (featuring members of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Blood Brothers) will drop their first proper release since their debut EP in 2005. There's also a Green Day tribute album; a collaboration between Jeremy Barnes of Neutral Milk Hotel and John Dieterich of Deerhoof; and Bob Dylan's 37th studio album – a tribute to Frank Sinatra.
Check out when you can hear these and more below.
