Pearl Jam Cover Eagles of Death Metal’s ‘I Want You So Hard’ One Week After Paris Attacks

A week after the horrific attacks in Paris that killed 129 -- including 89 people attending an Eagles of Death Metal concert at Le Bataclan theater -- Pearl Jam paid tribute to those lost and affected by the tragedy with a cover of EODM’s “I Want You So Hard.”

As Consequence of Sound reports, the band worked the Death by Sexy track into the set list for their concert in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on Friday (Nov. 20).

“We’ve never played this,” Eddie Vedder told the audience before the band launched into the cover. You can listen to their rendition right here by skipping ahead to the 17:00 mark.

This is the second tribute Pearl Jam have paid to those killed in the Paris attacks last week. Last Saturday (Nov. 14), the band dedicated their song, “Love Boat Captain,” to the victims during a concert in São Paulo. “Our love goes out to all in Paris,” Vedder said.
