Ryan Adams Has Finished His Taylor Swift ‘1989’ Covers Album, Teases Two More Songs
Ryan Adams is one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans in the industry, as evidenced by his in-progress covers album on which he is performing every song from Taylor Swift's 2014 smash 1989. Late last night (Aug. 17), Adams shared two more previews of his Swift tribute, tweeting brief clips of his covers of "Style" and "Blank Space." Check them out below.
Adams has previously shared previews of "Wildest Dreams," "Bad Blood," "Shake It Off," "All You Had To Do Was Stay," "Out Of The Woods" and "Welcome to New York." That means that he hasn't shared at least part of only five of the album's tracks so far. There isn't yet a release date for the covers album, although Adams did write in his tweet sharing the "Style" snippet that the record is done and has a rough mix completed.
About a month ago, Adams also performed an excellent cover of Foo Fighters' "Times Like These" in honor of Dave Grohl's effort to continue with his band's tour despite his broken leg.
