The documentary Tig -- which covers the career of comedian Tig Notaro following her diagnosis of breast cancer, her double mastectomy and the now-famous stand-up set that talked about it -- will begin streaming on Netflix on July 17. Over the end credits plays a new song by Sharon Van Etten, called "Words," that was written especially for the film and focuses on the power of words. Listen to the uplifting synth-based track and watch the film's trailer below.

The track follows the release of Van Etten's EP I Don't Want To Let You Down, which was released on June 9 via Jagjaguwar. Van Etten also recently contributed a cover of relatively obscure '60s folk singer Karen Dalton's "Remembering Mountains" for a compilation tribute album of the same name.

Van Etten wrapped up her summer tour in June, but still has an appearance at Los Angeles' Nextfest coming up on Aug. 8. Find more details about her upcoming schedule at her website.
