St. Vincent Made A Mixtape For An 11-Year-Old on Her Beats 1 Show
In mid-June, St. Vincent asked fans to apply to have a personalized mixtape made for them by St. Vincent herself, and earlier this week, she debuted what seems to be the first of many mixtapes on her Beats 1 radio show, St. Vincent’s Mixtape Delivery Service.
The first lucky fan was an 11-year-old girl named Piper, who is into modern danceable music like Purity Ring and Chvrches, so St. Vincent made her a playlist that features songs that she "think[s] she’ll love, but probably has missed because she’s 11." Below, check out the playlist, listen to the adorable conversation between St. Vincent and Piper, and listen to the mixtape on a Spotify playlist — ironically enough.
St. Vincent's Mixtape Delivery Service will air on Beats 1 every Tuesday at 10PM EST. It's too late to submit your name for a customized playlist now, but to get an idea of what future episodes may be like, here's St. Vincent's original call to action on Facebook:
