Hear St. Vincent’s Funky Cover of the Rolling Stones’ ‘Emotional Rescue’

St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) takes on the Rolling Stones for the upcoming movie A Bigger Splash.

Clark delivers her rendition of the Stones’ 1980 cut “Emotional Rescue” for the film, which stars Tilda Swinton as a rock star alongside Ralph Fiennes. The singer-guitarist maintains the loose, funky feel of the original, even managing a Jagger-esque falsetto. Take a listen above and then compare it to the original at the bottom of the page. The movie won’t land in U.S. theaters until May 13, but the soundtrack is due out Feb. 19. Check out the movie trailer below.
