Stream Ty Segall’s Fuzzed-Out New Album ‘Emotional Mugger’ in Full
Ty Segall’s new album Emotional Mugger technically has already been out for two months, but there's a catch: He only issued it on a handful of VHS tapes. However, now we can all enjoy the California garage-rocker's latest bleary, fuzzed-out solo effort via a stream hosted by NPR. Listen below:
The 11-track Emotional Mugger is due out a week from tomorrow on Jan. 22 via Drag City. Creepy babies seem to be a recurring theme for the album: That’s the Xeroxed baby doll cover at the bottom of the page, and Segall and his band sported baby masks for a performance video of “Candy Sam” he unveiled back in December.
Emotional Mugger -- which you can pre-order right here -- follows Segall’s 2014 full-length Manipulator and Mr. Face EP. He also dropped II with his band Fuzz in October of last year.
Segall’s current tour continues tomorrow with a two-night stand at the Teragram Ballroom in L.A. He has more North American stops planned through the beginning of May. See his complete itinerary at the Drag City website.
