In the span of less than two minutes, Tame Impala have crafted an outrageously catchy new song in the form of the just-released "Disciples." The track came about as a bit of a surprise: During a recent Reddit AMA session, frontman Kevin Parker unexpectedly shared it at the request of a fan -- check it out above.

"Disciples" follows the release of the ambitious track, "Let It Happen," and "'Cause I'm a Man," all set to appear on the Australian psych rock outfit's upcoming LP, Currents. The new album -- their third full-length -- is scheduled to hit the streets sometime this year via Interscope.

While "Disciples" was the most exciting part of Parker's AMA, the singer addressed several fans' questions and inquiries, including the comparison that is made between him and John Lennon -- "Honestly, I NEVER heard it myself" -- to how he's changed, artistically, after becoming popular -- "It's like a cross between more confident and more self-critical." You can read the entire conversation here.

Tame Impala are gearing up for an appearance at Austin's Levitation Fest in May, along with a string of sold-out gigs across North America. You can find their full tour itinerary at their official website.
