The Big Pink Announce ‘Empire Underground’ EP, Share ‘Hightimes’
The Big Pink have shared “Hightimes,” their first bit of new music in three years and the first sample of an upcoming EP.
“Hightimes” will appear on the London-based electro-pop outfit’s forthcoming Empire Underground EP. It has yet to receive a firm release date, but it’s expected early next year. Take a listen below:
The Big Pink have undergone some changes since their last full-length in 2012. Founding member Milo Cordell parted ways with the band in 2013, but while they have been relatively quiet in recent memory, the U.K. outfit promises a busy 2016. Empire Underground is due out at the beginning of the year, which in turn will be followed by the band’s third LP -- featuring collaborations with Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt and the Gossip’s Beth Ditto -- later that year. They’ll launch a TBA North American tour soon thereafter.
You can pre-order the Empire Underground EP on 12” black and clear swirl vinyl right here. An iTunes digital pre-order is forthcoming. That’s the cover art below.
The Big Pink made their debut in 2009 with A Brief History of Love. Future This followed in 2012.
