The Cribs Begin Work On New Album With Ric Ocasek — And Maybe Dave Grohl

Today (Oct. 6), the Cribs posted the above photo update to the band's Facebook page to let their fans know that they've begun work on their next album. The caption to the photo reads "Day 1 in the studio!"

If you're thinking that's Dave Grohl and Ric Ocasek in the picture with them, yes, you are correct. The two extremely busy producers appear to be assisting in the production of the band's new album, and we couldn't be more excited.

Grohl just got back from a European tour with the Foo Fighters in support of their new album 'Sonic Highways' -- which is out Nov. 10. Ocasek has been busy working with Weezer on their next LP titled 'Everything Will Be Alright In The End' due out tomorrow (Oct. 7).

The Cribs' new album does not yet have a name, but it's scheduled for release in the spring of 2015 via Sony RED and Frenchkiss Records.
