The Libertines are poised to release their first album since 2004 and yesterday (June 26) they continued on the comeback trail in style: they performed a surprise set before headliners Florence + the Machine at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K.

Led by songwriters Carl Barat and Pete Doherty, the band played 19 songs before the massive crowd on Friday including classics "Can't Stand Me Now," "Don't Look Back into the Sun" and "Time for Heroes." But the performance also included "Handsome" – a rarely performed Pete Doherty solo track – and the new Libertines song, "Gunga Gin."
