John Cale will perform the Velvet Underground’s 1967 debut The Velvet Underground & Nico in full with Animal Collective, the Libertines and more special guests during an upcoming concert in Paris.

Cale will be joined by Animal Collective, the Libertines’ Pete Doherty and Carl Barât, Mark Lanegan, Etienne Daho, Lou Doillon and Nick Franglen. The concert will take place at the Philharmonie de Paris on April 3. The Philharmonie will also host a Velvet Underground exhibition. Tickets are already sold out.

The news of Cale and Animal Collective’s joint performance arrives on the heels of their recent collaboration for the experimental outfit’s latest full-length Painting With. Cale appears on album track “Hocus Pocus,” which you can hear below:
