Watch Wavves’ ‘Grand Theft Auto’ Video for ‘Leave’

Wavves contributed "Leave" to a Grand Theft Auto V compilation called Welcome to Los Santos, which was compiled by the Alchemist and Oh No. For their trouble, Wavves also got a snazzy new music video created entirely within the animated GTA world. Check it out below.

The video was made by YeahMAP for a contest Rockstar Games was hosting, which asked entrants to make a video for the song using their Rockstar Editor software. From in-game filming to editing, YeahMAP said that the video took four weeks to make from start to finish. In the video, the protagonists are caught up in an intense jailbreak scenario.

Wavves have been busy as of late, also releasing No Life For Me – a joint album with Cloud Nothings – on June 29. The record was produced by Wavves' Nathan Williams and his brother, Joel, of Spirit Club, and is available to buy on iTunes and Bandcamp, or preorder a physical edition here, via Williams' label, Ghost Ramp.
