Adele's baby isn't even two months old, and he's already breaking the law. Turns out that the super-popular British singer and her boyfriend missed the deadline to register their new son. And now she's facing a fine for the oversight.

According to the U.K. paper 'The Sun,' Adele may owe more than $1,000 for missing the 42-day limit required of new parents. Apparently, she and Simon Konecki never made an appointment with the registrar to file the proper papers.

But don't start mounting a "Free Adele's Baby" campaign just yet. Officials say they won't come looking for Adele, the baby (whose name still hasn't been revealed to the public) and the boy's father for their careless disregard of the law.

Plus, it seems to be a common thing over there in England. According to a source, "There’s loads of reasons why parents are late, and millions of couples don’t bother for ages.”

There's a chance they still might have to pay the fine, but something tells us that Adele, whose 2011 album '21' has been heard by almost everyone on the planet, can afford to pay the late fee.
