Fans can see what makes singer-songwriter Andrew Bird tick in the music video for his latest single, 'Eyeoneye.' An animated version of Bird is dissected with galactic results.

The clip starts off with a Mr. Potato Head-like Bird being pieced together. Viewers are then allowed to peer deep inside the singer's body. Churning gears keep the heart pumping while levers and little people help release music and euphoria to the brain. Pretty soon things start to get out of hand, and Bird ends up in a journey throughout the solar system.

The video is directed by Yu 'Ewan' Morita and produced by Chika Yamaguchi. They were inspired by contrasting themes throughout the song, which translated into the visual piece. “Handmade never has perfect lines; unevenness and roughness are everywhere," Yamaguchi says about the handmade look of 'Eyeoneye.' "Ewan loves imperfections because we ourselves are made from those, and the world we live in is filled with them.”

'Eyeoneye' is taken from Bird's sixth studio album, 'Break It Yourself,' which was released back in March via Mom + Pop. The musician will resume touring in support of the record starting June 2 in London, England. He'll return to North America on July 8 in Geneva, Ill. and end his road trip in Des Moines, Iowa on August 21.
