In March, Animal Collective's Noah Lennox said that the group would head to the studio to work on their next album at some point this year, and apparently they hopped to it: It was revealed yesterday (July 14) that Animal Collective have completed recording the follow-up to their 2012 album, Centipede Hz. EastWestStudios posted a photo of the group on their Instagram account saying that recording on an upcoming album was finished:

That's about all the information available on the new record as of now. In March, Lennox, who records and performs solo as Panda Bear, said, “I’ve spent the past five weeks or so furiously trying to crank out stuff, and I’m sure Dave [Portner] is doing the same. I’m sure all of the guys are working on stuff. No concrete plans to go into the studio as of yet, no dates or anything, but I think it’s safe to say that some time this year we’ll record.”

Panda Bear is currently on tour, so check out his upcoming schedule here.
