Animal Collective are keeping busy during the run-up to their next album, 'Centipede Hz,' with a weeky Internet radio program called, appropriately enough, Animal Collective Radio. Hitting the web starting tonight (Sunday, July 29) at 9PM ET/2AM GMT, it will run every Sunday through Aug. 19. Panda Bear curates the first episode, which will feature guest DJ sets from Brooklyn noise collective Black Dice, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and the Sublime Frequencies crew.

This being an Animal Collective production, we're not expecting any sort of regular linear radio programming, but instead some sort of experimental sonic brew more along the lines of NPR's 'Radiolab' meets Animal Collective's own 'Transverse Temporal Gyrus’ installation piece that hit New York's Museum of Modern Art a few years back. Of course, this is total speculation, but judging from the promo clip streaming below, it's not going to be typical at all.

'Centipede Hz,' meanwhile, drops Sept. 4 and will be backed by a lenghty fall tour currently scheduled to run in the States through an Oct. 5 hometown gig in New York City, followed by six weeks of European dates. AC recently tweaked the 'Centipede Hz' cover, and we think that's a good thing. Check it out here.
