Future Islands' latest release, 'Singles,' is arguably their best yet, and not only were fans notably impressed, but so were fellow musicians. Today (Nov. 26), the band has released a reinterpretation of their main "single" from the album, 'Seasons (Waiting On You)' by avant-garde jazz trio BadBadNotGood, which you can listen to above.

The remix is currently available as a free download over at Amazon, right here. "We heard Sam’s isolated singing and realized how soulful and emotive it was and seemed to sound the best was re-harmonizing the chords and taking it in a soul direction," says BadBadNotGood vocalist Chester Hansen. "We came up with a slow groove for the verse that let the vocals breathe, and played the chorus double time to make it more powerful. After we laid down the rhythm track, we overdubbed guitar, keys and a bunch of other parts to fill it out."

Future Islands have only a few tour dates scheduled, some sold out, for January.  You can see their full tour schedule via their website.  Watch the official music video for 'Seasons (Waiting On You)' below and compare the two. Which version do you like better?
