It’s been five years since Dashboard Confessional released their sixth album, After the Ending, and another 15 years since frontman Chris Carrabba dropped his 2000 debut, The Swiss Army Romance. Now, the singer-songwriter has launched a brand-new Instagram account announcing a tour and the possibility of new music. The band is also giving fans a chance to hear a previously unreleased demo.

The first post – which you can see below – includes a video of Carrabba acknowledging that Dashboard Confessional have been out of the spotlight for some time, but hinted that could be changing very soon.

“Its been a while since you’ve heard anything from Dasboard Confessional, and I thought it might be time to change that,” Carrabba says in the video. “So, what’s new with you? Got any big plans this summer? I’ve got a feeling I know what I’ll be up to.”

A few hours later, Dashboard posted a follow-up Instagram revealing that they'll be embarking on a tour with Third Eye Blind this summer. It kicks off in Cleveland on May 29, with dates scheduled through July. You can find details on the band’s website; the pre-sale starts tomorrow, March 10.

When you visit Dashboard’s website, it’ll give you the option of signing up for the band’s email list. When you do, you’ll receive access to a previously unreleased demo, “The Burning Fuse” – which may very well be the gateway to new music to come.
