Death From Above 1979 announced today that the duo will perform in Third Man Records' Blue Room in Nashville on July 16 and the show will be recorded directly to acetate record as it happens. Tickets to the performance are available here.

The group released their second album, The Physical World, last year, 10 years after their debut You're A Woman, I'm a Machine and eight years after the group suddenly broke up despite the success of their first release.

Death From Above 1979 are currently on tour and will be on the road in North America and Europe until the end of August. Check out their complete itinerary at their website. It was also announced yesterday that The Physical World was included on the longlist for Canada's prestigious Polaris Prize.

Third Man Records also recently hosted Danny Kroha of the Gories as the first artist to perform as part of their Blue Room Spotlight Series.
