The trailer for the upcoming film ‘Disconnect’ is, as the movie's title suggests, choppy and disjointed. The flick, set to hit theaters on April 12, stars Jason Bateman and Alexander Skarsgard and focuses on several different stories about people whose lives have been affected by the online world. What’s the song in this intriguing promo?

The gripping track is AWOLNATION’s ‘Sail,’ the first single from their 2011 album ‘Megalithic Symphony.’ It landed at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 10 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart. In addition to being featured in the movie preview (watch below), the tune appeared on the soundtrack for the 2012 thriller ‘Playback.’ It has also surfaced in ads for Nokia and Under Armour, as well as a recent commercial for the History Channel’s new ‘Vikings’ series.

The song’s success came as a surprise to the band, according to frontman Aaron Bruno. "I never thought 'Sail' was going to be a single," Bruno told Rolling Stone. "It was just a song that felt very haunting and very special to me. I didn't think this weird droning, hip-hop influenced scream anthem thing would get on the radio ever."

AWOLNATION are gearing up for a spring headlining tour that's scheduled to kick off on March 8 in Lubbock, Texas, and wrap up on April 25 in Tulsa, Okla. Click here for the complete itinerary.
