Getting fans involved in the actual work they admire is a fantastic way to engage an audience, so Mew decided to do just that: This morning (June 11), the group released a video for "The Night Believer" that features 1,000 fans from 65 different countries. Check it out above.

The band says of the video, which was created by Danish director and animator William Reynish, "This project has been all about creating something exceptional and totally different together with our fans. We are super happy with the many contributions we have received — and that our fans have wanted to throw themselves into this experiment together with us."

"The Night Believer" comes from +-, the band's sixth album, released on April 21. Mew had previously shared videos for "Satellites" and "Water Slides," also from the new disc. They are currently on tour until November, so check out their complete tour dates at their website.

We also had the chance to speak with Mew at this year's SXSW -- don't miss our exclusive conversation here.
