Southwest Airlines 2013 Commercial – What’s the Song?

According to the new Southwest Airlines commercial, “There are people who find their own path, chart their own course, who never stop moving forward and never, ever back down.” As we all pursue our own unique visions of the American dream, we’re encouraged to fly Southwest, the nation’s largest domestic airline. The tune featured in the ad is fun.’s smash hit ‘Some Nights.’

The catchy and majestic anthem is the title track of fun.’s second studio album, which dropped in February 2012 via Fueled by Ramen. It reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Rock Songs and Billboard Alternative Songs charts, and landed at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In addition to appearing in the Southwest Airlines ad (watch below), the song has surfaced in the trailers for ‘Trouble With the Curve’ and Disney’s ‘Wreck-It Ralph.’ You may have also heard it in TV spots for ‘Harry’s Law’ and ‘Secret Millionaire.’
