You probably best know Shia LaBeouf for his star turn in the the 'Transformers' trilogy, or perhaps his role in 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,' but the movie star recently made a bit of a more low key appearance when he turned up in the new video for 'Fjögur Píanó,' a song off Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Rós' latest album, 'Valtair.'

You may no longer have to watch those outdated educational films to learn about how to stop someone from choking. That's because Sigur Rós have stepped up with an informative new video for their single 'Ég Anda.'

The good news is that Sigur Rós aren't going anywhere, but with the good news comes this report: The group is parting ways with Kjartan Sveinsson, who has grown tired of touring -- but not permanently.

Ambient noisemakers Sigur Rós will release their sixth studio album, entitled 'Valtari,' later this month. However, impatient fans will be happy to know that the band will stream the record in its entirety on Thursday, May 17.

Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós premiered their newest track, 'Dauðalogn,' in the high fashion of our day: by way of paranormal romance season finale. Check the video below (and mind the spoiler alert title if you're in the 'Vampire Diaries' dark).

Sigur Ros are known for being one of the more intelligent and willfully non-commercial bands on the rock scene at the moment, but that doesn't mean they don't appreciate the value of a solid pop hook. Just ask singer Jonsi Birgisson, who tells Gigwise he has a certain fondness for Nicki Minaj, David Guetta and Rihanna.

Sigur Ros recently did an interview with Q Magazine, where they discussed the band's upcoming album 'Valtari,' set for release on May 28. 'Valtari' is 'Steamroller' in Icelandic, if you were curious -- which may or may not have something to do with the first track made available from the album, 'Ekki Mukk.'
