Former Blink-182 guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge isn't sitting on his laurels while he continues feuding with his former bandmates: The Angels and Airwaves frontman has already released the first single from his upcoming solo debut, To the Stars … Demos, Odds and Ends.

Of course, "New World" (below) probably wasn't written for the album -- announced last week and set for release April 20. During all of the online bickering that went down in January when Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker revealed that Barker wouldn't be taking part in band activities for the foreseeable future, DeLonge said he had been working on demos for Blink-182's long-awaited next album. And from the dual harmonies and overall sound of "New World," it wouldn't be crazy to believe that's where it was originally meant to go. (Speaking of things that may or may not be crazy, DeLonge recently said he's been in contact with aliens.)

The song is now also available on iTunes. Check it out below.
