At the beginning of the year, Chvrches revealed they had started work on their highly anticipated sophomore effort. Now, they have announced the upcoming album, Every Open Eye, will arrive on Sept. 25 via Universal and shared its lead single, "Leave a Trace." Take a listen to the new song in the video above.

The Scottish indie-pop trio premiered "Leave a Trace" and a couple other new songs during a set at last night’s (July 15) Ottawa Bluesfest. Watch the Lauren Mayberry-fronted outfit perform the new single, along with “Make Them Gold” and “Clearest Blue,” at the bottom of the page (via Spin).

Every Open Eye follows Chvrches’ 2013 breakthrough debut, The Bones of What You Believe. Their latest album will feature 11 songs in all; check out a tracklist below.

Next up on their tour, Chvrches will play Pemberton Music Festival in British Columbia. From there, they’re scheduled to appear at a long list of festivals, including Chicago's Lollapalooza, San Francisco's Outside Lands, Boston Calling, D.C.'s inaugural Landmark Music Festival, Austin City Limits and more. They're also slated to play a string of headlining gigs along the way. See a complete itinerary below.
