Arcade Fire's multi-instrumentalist Will Butler just released his eight-track debut solo album, Policy, yesterday (March 10), and to celebrate, he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to perform "Take My Side." You can watch the performance, which wowed Dave in a big way, below.

Butler's forceful rendition of the track prompted an "Oh my! How about that?" from Letterman at the conclusion of the performance.

Policy, which is out now via Merge Records, is not the only project that the artist has been working on while Arcade Fire is on a short break. The singer-songwriter had recently created daily songs for a week straight based off of news stories that inspired him in The Guardian.

The musician will be appearing at this year's SXSW festival and convention in Austin, Texas, with a stop at one of the most anticipated showcases at Stubb's, which will also feature Twin Shadow and Run the Jewels.
