Alt-rock sensations Imagine Dragons recently released their sophomore studio album, Smoke + Mirrors, and have been making headlines ever since. And now, during a recent visit at the SiriusXM studios, the band laid down a cover of Ben E. King's classic track, "Stand By Me" -- check it out below.

Singer Dan Reynolds sings the 1961 song with enough passion to make your heart melt, nearly as heartfelt as when King belted out the unforgettable tune so long ago.

The band's new album was self-produced with some help from famed hip-hop producer Alexander Grant, a.k.a. Alex Da Kid. Imagine Dragons will head out on an extensive U.S. tour in support of the record this summer, kicking off on June 3 in Portland and wrapping up in Boise on August 1.
