Apparently M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzalez gets very generous if he sees you at one of his group's shows. The Spanish-French musician has offered to pen pop superstar Katy Perry's next album after seeing her in the crowd during their Coachella set this past weekend.

Gonzalez went on the official M83 Facebook page to make his suggestion public. "I think I saw Katy Perry dancing on midnight city yesterday night," the status update read. "Katy, let me write your next album:)"

There is a very good chance that Gonzalez was joking, but so far it has been considered a serious offer. Can you imagine what a Katy Perry record influenced by M83 would sound like? Perry would have to trade in the Candy Land-filled 'Teenage Dream' for an electronica journey of epic proportions.

The California girl wasn't afraid to rave about other acts that she had a chance to catch. Perry tweeted that seeing Radiohead live was "spiritual," and almost cried when she witnessed the hologram version of Tupac Shakur.

M83 released their sixth studio album, 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming,' in October of 2011. It is the first double record for the group, which Gonzalez has always wanted to make since the Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 classic, 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.' The new album is the first that features instruments not found on past M83 releases, such as an acoustic guitar and saxophone.

M83 will make a return visit to Indio, Calif., for the second weekend of Coachella. The band will then embark on a North American tour starting April 22 at The Fillmore in San Francisco.
