Moby Claims President Donald Trump Is Being Blackmailed by the Russian Government
Moby has made no secret of the fact that his politics don't align with those espoused by President Donald Trump. Now, however, he claims to have access to information proving Trump's administration has been fatally undermined by compromising ties to the Russian government.
The Grammy-winning DJ and composer made his allegations via Instagram on Feb. 13, saying he'd spent "the weekend talking to friends who work" in Washington, D.C. and come away with the distinct impression that Trump's cabinet — already reeling after top advisor Michael Flynn's scandal-clouded resignation — was "in collusion" with Russia and would be taking drastic steps to cover up those ties.
According to Moby's sources, Trump is "being blackmailed by the Russian government" — not only, as a hotly disputed dossier has claimed, "for being peed on by Russian hookers," but for what he described as "much more nefarious things." What it adds up to, in Moby's view, is a prelude to a ginned-up war.
"The Trump administration needs a war, most likely with Iran," he wrote. "At present they are putting U.S. warships off the coast of Iran in the hope that Iran will attack one of the ships and give the U.S. a pretense for invasion."
There's a lot more in the post — including Moby's predictions that the Republican Party will be taking steps to get rid of Trump because he's "a drain on their fundraising and their approval ratings" — all of which you can check out below. The bottom line, as Moby puts it, is that he wanted a "public record" of all the coming scandals in these "baffling and horrifying times," before what he sees as the administration's likely collapse.
