It should come as a surprise to no one that Henry Rollins' voice is pretty much tailor-made for epic voiceovers. Apparently, Savages saw the light and recruited the former Black Flag leader to narrate the album trailer for their forthcoming sophomore effort. Check it out above.

The trailer contains a super-brief preview of a new Savages song and only reveals that their next album -- a follow-up to their excellent 2013 debut, Silence Yourself -- will arrive sometime next year. Otherwise, it features footage of the London-based outfit performing while Rollins reads an excerpt from the 1989 Josephine Baker biography, Jazz Cleopatra: Josephine Baker in Her Time.

“Her movements were all so fast, no one had time to decide what was happening,” Rollins reads. “Is it a man? Is it a woman? People wondered, ‘Is she awful or marvelous? Black or white? Is that real hair or has it been painted on?’ She epitomized ambiguity and new frontiers.”

Savages will continue their current U.S. tour tonight (Aug. 23) in San Diego. Then, they have one more concert on Aug. 25 in San Francisco. They’re also slated to perform at Banksy’s Dismaland art exhibition on Sept. 18.
