Adele May Sing at Oscars
After she gave birth to her first child in October, the mega-popular Adele said she would be stepping out of the spotlight for a while. But rumor has it that she may return next month to perform at the Oscars.
The Academy Awards are planning a special tribute to mark the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movie series at the ceremony, which will be held on February 24. The 24-year-old British singer performed the theme song for the latest film, 'Skyfall.' The song also has a pretty good shot at being nominated for an Oscar.
Two years after being released, Adele's second album, '21,' is still grabbing headlines. This past week, the 2011 record was named 2012's bestselling album, making it two consecutive years that it's claimed that honor. Plus, the album recently reached the 10-million-copies-sold mark -- a rare feat these days.
If that isn't enough, 'Skyfall' is also nominated for a Best Original Song Golden Globe, and Adele was named Associated Press' Entertainer of the Year for 2012. In her spare time, she's raising her three-month-old boy, who, as far as we know, still doesn't have a name.
