Late night newcomer James Corden is quickly emerging as a fun and charmingly genuine part of the talk show landscape, and now he's also starting to get his act together musically. Last night (May 13), The Late Late Show hosted the Killers frontman Brandon Flowers for a performance of "Lonely Town," from his upcoming solo album The Desire Effect. Check it out below:

It doesn't seem that Corden is a threat to the torrid love affair Flowers has fostered with fellow Las Vegas native Jimmy Kimmel, although they did have a giggly chat at the bar about the first time they met and Flowers' "squeezable" butt. Have a look:

Flowers has spent the past few months talking up his sophomore solo effort, declaring that he didn't hold back this time around. The Desire Effect is now streaming in full, and he shared a music video for "Lonely Town" back in April.

As for the Killers, Flowers recently said that the group needs to "get on the same page" before it can record another album: "I’ve said it before: We need a little bit of a kick in the pants, and hopefully it’s coming."
