The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has unveiled a brand new website, and it doesn’t just feature music. While the site does boast the recently released “Human Sadness” video from his side project, Julian Casablancas + the Voidz, it also features sections titled “Politics” and “Master Mix Tapes.”

For those searching for History and Poli Sci 101 courses led by Casablancas and company -- look no further. The singer has aggregated the writings of Howard Zinn, speeches from Marting Luther King, Jr. and more for your further reading. “Regardless of your leanings, we find this information helpful in understanding our current world better,” Casablancas writes. “If it’s not consistent with your opinions that’s fine, just sharing what we think is relevant and perhaps out of mainstream sight.”

On the “Master Mix Tapes” page, Casablancas offers a different kind of education. Here, he’s curated playlists that act as introductions to the music of Stevie WonderLou Reed and Bob Marley. “If for some reason you are not very familiar with these artists, here’s a place to start,” he writes. “If you know and love these artists deeply already, this page is probably not for you… If you were just gonna have the bare minimum in your music library, here are the truly essential ones, without trying to fill any quota of a typical 10/20-song 'best of'… just some the best of the best, universally cool super-champs, no big deal.”

Casablancas and the Voidz dropped their debut, Tyranny, last year. He also recently revealed that the Strokes are working on a follow-up to 2013’s Comedown Machine.
