Who's the smirking boy with the high bangs and bow tie? When he became famous, he lost the bangs and tie, but he kept the smirk and added some tats. Lots of tats.

Who's the mystery yearbook kid with the stare that's somewhere between intense and vacant? He must have enjoyed that bemused look; he's used it many times as an adult and as the singer in several different indie bands over the years.

Do you know who this is? Judging by this yearbook photo, we'd figure this kid would have a bright future in store as a mad scientist. But he actually went on to lead one of the most popular alt-rock bands of the past decade.

Big smile. Suit jacket. Tie? You're never gonna believe who today's mystery kid is. He seems like such a nice young boy in the above yearbook photo. Within a few years, he'll be dropping f-bombs all over the place and taking on The Man.
